Welcome!

What's New at CUMC!

Lori Mitchell, Lecia Brado and I just returned from Annual Conference—a large event (1200) people both lay and clergy, that met last Thursday through Sunday. It was a really good conference with many and varied worship experiences, some legislation to pass, but much of the time was spent looking at how to do mission and hearing reports of how mission is done in many of our 477 churches of the Detroit Annual Conference.

God is stirring people to be involved on many levels in reaching out to so many with needs, physical, emotional, and spiritual. We were glad to report on how Christ Church here is doing regarding mission and helping reach the world for Jesus.

We came home reminded again of God’s goodness to us and of our responsibility and privilege to do what we can. As we offer our lives and our resources to Jesus, He does marvelous things with them.

And that’s the way it is with our lives as well. Every day offer your life, your time, your energy, your resources, your talents to God and God will be there to use them—sometimes in the most unexpected ways.

May Christ Church continue to offer up ourselves to God and to His Kingdom in everything we do. Let’s look this summer at how we can minister in a servant kind of way to share the love of Jesus Christ.

I’m game! How about you!!?
